Best free wedding photo sharing apps compared
Updated by Scan & Snap
If you want the most from a free plan, Knipsmig's page offers unlimited photos and videos for 30 days. For a small wedding with no sign-up and printable table cards, Scan & Snap's free plan holds 50 photos for 7 days. If all your guests use Google, a Google Photos shared album costs nothing extra, though they need an account to add photos.
The free plans side by side

How to choose
- Biggest free allowance: on these figures, Knipsmig's free plan is the most generous, so it's worth a look for a large wedding with no budget.
- Everyone already uses Google: a Google Photos or Drive QR code can work well.
- A film-style camera with a reveal: look at a disposable camera app.
- A small wedding, set up in a minute: a free Scan & Snap album needs no sign-up and includes printable table cards.
- Paying in euro with EU hosting: Scan & Snap is a one-off €29 or €59, hosted in the EU.
What to check on any free plan
Before you print anything, find out four things: how many photos it holds, whether videos are included, how long it stays open, and how you get the photos out at the end. A free plan that's closed by the time guests go through their camera rolls, or that has no bulk download, may cost you more time than it saves.
Test it as a guest as well. Scan the code on someone else's phone and upload a photo. If that takes more than a few taps, your guests are less likely to bother.
Where our free plan falls short
Our free plan has no videos and no ZIP download, and it lasts 7 days. If you expect more than 50 photos, you'll need to upgrade or choose something else. We'd rather tell you now than have you find out on the day.
